The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) is a government scheme launched on April 8, 2015 , with the vision to support the growth of small and micro-enterprises in India. It was introduced by the Government of India to make credit easily available to people engaged in non-farming and non-corporate businesses.This scheme is implemented through MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) , which provides financial support to small entrepreneurs across the country.  Purpose of PMMY The main objective of PMMY is to: Help small businesses grow by providing them with easy access to credit .
